Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? Southwark Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment & Intervention Team. In this dynamic role, you will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and community partners to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans tailored to individual family circumstances.
  • Working closely with other agencies to coordinate services and support for children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
