We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Barnet. As a vital member of our team, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality social work services that empower children and promote their best interests.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, parents, and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national standards.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings to coordinate and enhance service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care or similar settings.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
