Please note that only Social Work England Registered Social Workers with Right to Work in the UK will be considered for this role. Hounslow Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children's Social Care Team on an ongoing temporary assignment. This role is based at Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB, working 36 hours per week, with a requirement for at least 2 days in the office including duty weeks. Equipment will be provided and collected on your first day.

About the Role

You will manage a caseload of approximately 25 children, delivering high‑quality statutory social work and ensuring excellent outcomes for children and families. This is a full‑time post working standard hours (no condensed hours available).

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory assessments and manage a varied and complex caseload.
  • Work directly with children and families using a strengths‑based and relationship‑focused approach.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding, care planning and risk management.
  • Maintain high‑quality case recordings and compliance with LCS (Liquidlogic).
  • Work collaboratively with partners, colleagues and multi‑agency professionals.

Essential Requirements

  • SWE Registered Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within Children's Social Care.
  • Knowledge and experience using LCS.
  • Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

  • Pay Rate: Up to £37.52 per hour (within London Pledge rates).
  • Hours: 36 per week.
  • Location: Hounslow House (TW3 3EB) + hybrid working.
