We are recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a Children's Services team in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire. This role requires proven experience managing cases involving Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Court Work, with a strong commitment to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for families.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a complex caseload of children and families
- Completing statutory assessments and risk assessments
- Working with Children in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases
- Undertaking PLO and Court Work proceedings
- Developing and reviewing child-focused plans
- Building effective relationships with children, families and carers
- Coordinating multi-agency interventions with education, health, police and partner agencies
- Preparing high-quality assessments, reports and court statements
- Maintaining accurate case records in line with legislation and professional standards
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current professional registration
- Experience within Children's Services - minimum 3 years permanent post-qualified
- Essential experience of:
- Children in Need (CIN)
- Child Protection (CP)
- Court Work
- PLO processes
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
- Excellent assessment, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage risk and make sound professional decisions
