The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work – Assessment Team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well‑being of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing support to children and their families in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
• Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
• Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records and documentation.
• Participating in multi‑agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions.
• Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and intervention.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
