Gateshead Social Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker for their Child Protection Team - Child Safeguarding Team. This position will be for a period of 3 months but is likely to be extended. Gateshead are looking at moving over to a Families First Model of a combined Assessment and Safeguarding from October this year.

The Child protection service is well established with excellent managers with an open door policy, reasonable caseloads and regular supervision. There is onsite parking available, and the role is hybrid 2 days in the office and 3 from home. All visits are face to face. Gateshead was rated Good by Ofsted. It covers a small geographical area within the North East.
