Join our dedicated Child in Care team in Chelmsford, Essex, as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a profound impact on the lives of children and families.

We are offering an umbrella position at a competitive rate of £288 per day.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and development of children in care, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Building trusting relationships with children, families, and other professionals to support their emotional and social development.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and adherence to statutory guidelines.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as required.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, Dip SW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and working within a Child in Care context.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing a diverse caseload.
