This pivotal role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in need.
You will be responsible for assessing and managing cases involving vulnerable children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes.
Your expertise will guide and support junior staff, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our team.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners.
- Providing supervision and mentorship to less experienced social workers, fostering their professional development.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a recognized social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England.
A minimum of three years' experience in child protection or related fields is essential, along with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
