This is a unique opportunity for experienced Adults Social Workers to join a newly redesigned Front Door service in Bristol at the very start of its journey. The Advice, Information and Assessment Service has been created to reduce waiting lists, improve access to support and deliver high-quality, face-to-face practice for adults across the city. This is project work with purpose - ideal for social workers who thrive on pace, innovation and visible impact. What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out face-to-face Care Act assessments
- Completing Mental Capacity Assessments and leading Best Interest decisions
- Responding to and progressing Safeguarding S42 enquiries
- Ensuring adults at risk are protected and supported effectively
- Delivering advice, information, signposting and preventative interventions
- Providing early support that makes a real difference
- Working at pace to reduce backlogs and streamline access to Adult Social Care
- Collaborating within a proactive multidisciplinary team
- Problem-solving creatively to drive positive outcomes
- Using excellent planning and time-management skills to manage a dynamic workflow
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience within Adult Social Care
- Confident safeguarding practice, including S42 enquiries
- Sound knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Experience with Best Interest decision-making
- Ability to work quickly, creatively and collaboratively
- Excellent organisational skills and resilience to manage competing priorities
- Social Work England registration
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
