We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Safeguarding and Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Blackburn. You will play a crucial role in protecting those at risk and promoting their well-being through effective assessment and intervention.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support and safeguarding.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely interventions and follow-ups.
- Providing expert advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders regarding safeguarding issues.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local policies and procedures.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in safeguarding and working within a MASH environment.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
