We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Finding Team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of support and stability. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying suitable family placements and facilitating meaningful connections that foster a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and family dynamics.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans that prioritize the welfare of children.
  • Engaging with families and potential caregivers to explore and establish suitable placements.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and case records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to a collaborative approach to care.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and family support, particularly within a Family Finding context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
