The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Safeguarding Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults within our community. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote safeguarding practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk, identifying their needs and developing appropriate safeguarding plans.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health services, housing, and voluntary organizations, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Implementing and reviewing safeguarding plans, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Providing support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with council policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding and knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
