We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adult Safeguarding team in Bath and North East Somerset (BANES). This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their rights and independence. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement safeguarding measures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults at risk to identify safeguarding concerns.
- Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
- Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, to ensure effective safeguarding interventions.
- Providing support and guidance to individuals and their families regarding available resources and services.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local and national policies.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work degree and current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in adult safeguarding and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to service users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a varied caseload effectively.
