In this rewarding role, you will work closely with foster families, children, and various stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for those in care.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting assessments and home visits to evaluate the suitability of potential foster families.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring they have the resources and training necessary to provide a nurturing environment.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in foster care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to promote the welfare and safety of children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local authority guidelines.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering or children’s services is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
