We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fostering Social Worker to join our team in Barnsley, offering a competitive rate of £35.00 per hour (Umbrella).

As a Fostering Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers and their suitability for fostering.
- Providing ongoing support, supervision, and training to foster families.
- Developing and implementing care plans in line with the needs of the children.
- Collaborating with other professionals, including education and health services, to ensure holistic support for children.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reports on foster placements.
- The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in fostering or child protection services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with families and children.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
