Join our dedicated team in Barking & Dagenham as a Senior Social Worker within the Assessment Team.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to play a vital role in delivering high-quality social care services.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the well‑being of vulnerable individuals and families within our community.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with service users and other professionals.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to less experienced social workers and support staff.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e. g., Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and assessment work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage complex cases effectively.
