Cafcass is seeking two experienced Family Court Adviser (FCA) Social Workers to join their teams across Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk. You will play a vital role in safeguarding children involved in family court proceedings, ensuring their voice is heard and their best interests are represented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent children in family court proceedings
  • Undertake assessments and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations
  • Work closely with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court
  • Manage a varied caseload effectively and professionally

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration
  • Enhanced DBS completed within the last 12 months via an agency
  • Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Ability to start within 4 weeks' notice
  • Strong court experience and report writing skills

Desirable Experience

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience
  • Previous experience within Cafcass or similar court-based roles

  • Two separate roles available (Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk)
