Caritas Recruitment is working with Cafcass to recruit experienced Family Court Advisers (FCA) to support both public and private law work across Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for resilient, court experienced practitioners to work with highly vulnerable children and families within a well established national organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with children and families involved in public and private law proceedings
- Undertake safeguarding assessments and provide robust analysis to inform decision making
- Prepare high quality reports, including Section 7 and discharge of care reports
- Engage children in a child centred and creative manner
- Provide clear written and oral evidence within the Family Court
- Liaise confidently with partner agencies, legal professionals and the Judiciary
- Manage a complex caseload, working effectively and proportionately at pace
Essential Requirements
- Social Work qualification and SWE registration
- Minimum 3 years post qualifying experience
- Proven experience working with highly vulnerable children and families
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice
- Practical, first hand experience of the Family Court system, including giving oral evidence
