The City of Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work Duty Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults in need of social care services.

  • Providing support and guidance to individuals and their families, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and community organizations, to facilitate holistic care.
  • Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participating in duty team responsibilities, including responding to urgent referrals and crisis situations.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in adult social work, preferably within a duty or assessment team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in adult social care.
