We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Help team in Cambs (Fenland/Wisbech) on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella). This role is pivotal in providing high-quality social work services to families in need, ensuring their welfare and supporting their development. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and promoting family resilience through effective intervention strategies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing tailored support plans.
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to deliver integrated services.
- Providing supervision and mentorship to junior staff and social work students.
- Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of interventions to ensure effectiveness.
- Engaging with families to build trust and facilitate positive change.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience in child protection and family support.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
- Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
