Wigan, GM Collaboration is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment team. As a Social Worker in this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding vulnerable individuals and families, ensuring their needs are met through effective assessment and intervention strategies. Your expertise will contribute to creating a positive impact in the community, promoting well-being and resilience among those you serve.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families in need of support.
- Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans to address identified needs.
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic support for clients.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Providing guidance and support to families, ensuring they are informed of available resources.
- Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance practice and share knowledge.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience in child protection, safeguarding, and working with diverse populations is highly desirable.
