We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Team Manager to join our Children and Families (C&F) Team in Walsall. This pivotal role involves leading a team of social workers to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Children's Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing case management, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision and professional development.
- Ensuring effective assessment and intervention strategies are implemented for children and families.
- Monitoring casework to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
- Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver integrated services and support.
- Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in children's social work, including management or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and child protection procedures.
