Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children in care or similar settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
