Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Team (C&F) in Stockport as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW). We are seeking passionate individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work closely with families to assess their needs, develop intervention strategies, and provide ongoing support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and support to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings as necessary.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA Social Work, MA Social Work, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a social work capacity.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
