We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adolescent Intervention Prevention Team in Southend-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and adolescents within our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services that promote the well-being and safety of young people and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for adolescents in need of support.
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure holistic support for young people.
- Providing direct support and guidance to adolescents facing various challenges, including mental health issues, family breakdown, and risk of social exclusion.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant social work qualification (such as a degree in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should have:
- Experience working with adolescents and a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children and families.
