As a Social Worker in our Fostering team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure suitability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, facilitating training and development opportunities.
- Working collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to create and implement care plans that meet the needs of each child.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring adherence to local and national policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the fostering service.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (degree or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering or child protection services is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
