Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in Family Safeguarding in Blackpool, where you will play a vital role in protecting and enhancing the lives of vulnerable families. In this position, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. Your expertise will be critical in assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to families facing challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating tailored support plans for families.
  • Engaging with children and families to build trust and facilitate open communication.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding.
  • Monitoring progress and reviewing cases to adapt interventions as necessary.
  • Documenting casework accurately and maintaining up-to-date records in compliance with local policies.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and family safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
