We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Newham, specializing in supporting children with disabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that children receive the best possible support and services tailored to their unique needs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
- Developing and implementing individual care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are informed of available resources and services.
- Advocating for the rights of children with disabilities within the community and education systems.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
