Social Worker - Assessment & Intervention Team Torbay Children's Services Up to Β£42 per Hour
Caritas Recruitment is currently supporting Torbay Children's Services in the recruitment of experienced Social Workers for their Assessment & Intervention Team.

The Role
Working within the Assessment & Intervention Team, you will hold a caseload of approximately 20-24 cases, managing a varied and rewarding workload including:
- Child in Need (CIN)
- Child Protection (CP)
- Assessments
- Complex safeguarding work
The team operates a duty rota of one week in every three, providing a balanced and structured working environment.
Working Arrangements
- Office attendance required up to three days per week
- Full-time office presence required during duty weeks
- Flexible remote working outside of duty commitments
- Social workers must remain available to respond to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries when required
- Ability to travel across Torbay and occasionally out of county is essential
Essential Requirements
- Have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience gained within an English Local Authority Children's Services team
- Not have left a permanent Children's Services social work role within the last six months from a local authority in the South West region
- Be able to attend the office in Torbay each week
- Hold Social Work England registration
