We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Locality team in Wakefield. This pivotal role involves providing high-quality social work services to individuals and families in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and empowerment. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, managing complex cases, and collaborating with various agencies to deliver effective support and interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and developing tailored care plans.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to clients and their families, facilitating access to resources and services.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent) and be registered with the relevant professional body. Essential skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a deep understanding of social work legislation, and a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice. Experience in child protection, mental health, or adult social care is highly desirable.
