Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker in the CP/Safeguarding Team in Peterborough, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing safeguarding measures to ensure the safety and well‑being of children in our community. Your expertise will be crucial in working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implementing safeguarding strategies and interventions to protect children at risk.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records in compliance with local and national standards.
  • Participating in multi‑agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a safeguarding or child protection context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
