We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) and Looked After Children (LAC) team in Peterborough. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable young individuals.
As a Social Worker in our CIC/LAC team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the unique needs of children and their families.
- Providing direct support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Working closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to promote stability and positive outcomes for children.
- Managing a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in court proceedings and contributing to the legal processes regarding children in care.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families within a statutory setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
