We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker specializing in Looked After Children (LAC) to join our dynamic team in Nottinghamshire. This pivotal role involves working closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and advocacy, ensuring the best outcomes for vulnerable children in care. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children’s needs and circumstances.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local policies and legislation.
  • Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a LAC setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare and safeguarding.
