We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) team in Northampton. This is a permanent position where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in care, ensuring they receive the support and services they need to thrive. Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, children, and other professionals.
  • Carrying out statutory duties and ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of effective services for children in care.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills such as:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience working with children in care and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
