We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Assessment Team in Durham. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in need of support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in accordance with statutory guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing individual care plans that address the specific needs of children and families.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement, to provide holistic support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance practice and share knowledge.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Experience working within children's services, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child protection and safeguarding.
