We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Lowestoft, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families. The position offers a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella), and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about safeguarding and enhancing the well‑being of vulnerable children.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties including:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi‑agency partners.
- Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students.
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and children in need cases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
