We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Croydon. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in safeguarding children and families, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes. You will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess risk, develop intervention strategies, and provide support to vulnerable individuals and families in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Collaborating with partner agencies to develop and implement effective safeguarding plans.
- Providing supervision and mentorship to junior social workers and support staff.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss and review cases.
- Engaging with families to provide guidance, support, and resources tailored to their needs.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
