We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection (CP) / Children in Need (CIN) Team in Knowsley. As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing support to families in challenging situations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Carrying out statutory duties in accordance with legislation and local policies.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Social Work, hold a valid Social Work England registration, and have relevant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Essential skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, and a thorough understanding of child welfare legislation. You should be able to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
