Knowsley Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children Looked After team. In this vital role, you will work with children and young people in care, ensuring their well-being and development while promoting positive outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children looked after and their families.
- Developing and implementing care plans that promote stability and positive outcomes.

- Advocating for children’s rights and best interests in all decision-making processes.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with legal and organizational requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should have a solid understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding practices, and experience working with children in care. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a team and manage a varied caseload.
