Knowsley is seeking a qualified social worker to join our Children's TM - Safeguarding Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well‑being of vulnerable children in our community. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families in crisis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children.
  • Working collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records in accordance with local and national standards.
  • Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when necessary.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
