Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Liverpool as a Children’s Assistant Practitioner (AP) in the Qualified Social Work field. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people. Your primary focus will be to support social workers in their assessments, interventions, and ongoing case management to ensure that children are safe, healthy, and thriving within their communities.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Assisting social workers in conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families.
- Supporting the delivery of intervention strategies to safeguard children at risk.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority guidelines.
- Engaging with children, families, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide support.
- Participating in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to effective decision-making.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
