As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and various stakeholders to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children in care. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Providing direct support and advocacy for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess the following essential skills:
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Proficient in assessment and analytical skills to effectively evaluate complex situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
