We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection (CP) / Children in Need (CIN) Team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional looking to make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families. The role offers a competitive rate of £30.57 per hour (umbrella), along with the chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:
- Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children.
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff and social work students.
- Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.
- Managing a complex caseload and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in social work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualifying experience in child protection and children in need work.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
