Senior Practitioner- CP/CIN Team- Kent (Folkeston) in Folkestone

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN) Team in Folkestone, Kent. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families in crisis. Your expertise will guide and mentor less experienced staff, ensuring high standards of practice and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a complex caseload of CP and CIN cases, conducting assessments and developing intervention plans.
• Providing supervision and support to social workers and other team members, fostering professional development and best practices.
• Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure cohesive support for children and families.
• Contributing to team meetings, case discussions, and strategy planning to improve service delivery.
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of casework and compliance with local authority policies.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a statutory setting.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to engage effectively with children and families.
