Ealing Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Team Manager for our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This pivotal role will support the Team Manager in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. As the Deputy Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the management and supervision of the MASH team, providing guidance and support to social workers.
  • Overseeing the assessment and decision-making processes regarding child safeguarding concerns.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding cases.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance service delivery.
  • Participating in performance management and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of practice.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a social work context.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
