The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Children in Need (CIN) Team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our community. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in need of support and intervention.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored support plans for children and families in need.
- Carrying out statutory duties in accordance with legislation and local policies.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing direct support and intervention to families to enhance their capacity to care for their children.
- Documenting case work accurately and maintaining up-to-date records in compliance with data protection regulations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting.
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
