The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Assessment and Safeguarding Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload of children in need and those subject to safeguarding procedures.
- Working closely with partner agencies to promote integrated services and support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding practice.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as travel within the borough is essential.
