The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our dynamic Court Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes for children involved in court proceedings, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions tailored to their needs.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Preparing court reports and presenting evidence in court as required.
- Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children's social work, particularly within court settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
