We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work - Learning Disabilities Team in Cambridgeshire. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with individuals with learning disabilities, their families, and various stakeholders to promote independence, well-being, and quality of life. Your expertise will be vital in delivering person-centered support and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our service users.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and preferences of individuals with learning disabilities.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing ongoing support and advocacy, ensuring that individuals are empowered to make informed choices.
- Monitoring and reviewing care plans to adapt to changing needs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Building strong relationships with community resources and services to facilitate access to necessary support.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, demonstrating a strong understanding of the challenges they face.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a compassionate approach to social work practice.
