Social Worker - Early Intervention Team

Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join an Early Intervention Team in Bexley.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with children, young people, and families at the earliest stage of intervention, helping to create sustainable positive change and prevent family breakdown, care proceedings, and the need for ongoing statutory intervention.
The Role
You will build positive and respectful relationships with children, young people and their families, providing intensive, targeted support to help achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes. Working in a child-centred, systemic way and using the Signs of Safety practice model, you will:
- Complete assessments and identify families' best hopes and goals
- Develop and implement intervention plans alongside families
- Deliver high-quality, intensive support on a one-to-one and group basis
- Help prevent family breakdown and reduce the need for children to enter care
- Support children and young people to remain safely within their family networks wherever possible
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomes
- Promote resilience and empower families to function independently without ongoing Children's Social Care involvement
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Qualified Social Worker status
- Experience working with children and families
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Knowledge of Signs of Safety and systemic practice approaches
- Full UK driving licence preferred
